PadPickr Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information is handled when you use PadPickr to save, score and compare homes, manage your account, share homes, or contact us.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, verification status and account identifiers. When you create a password, we store a password hash rather than the readable password. We also store account-verification and password-reset records.
• Home and scoring information: addresses and property details you enter, private notes about homes, your home-selection criteria, preferences, scores and the sharing relationships you create.
• Invitations and communications: recipient email addresses, invitation status and support messages. Previously submitted Realtor interest inquiries may remain in our records and can include contact details, location, agency, license information and professional links. The Realtor interest form is no longer available.
• Technical information: session identifiers, request timing, IP-related abuse-prevention records, and server or error logs needed to operate and troubleshoot the site. Previously submitted Realtor interest inquiries may also include the submitting IP address.

Google services

We use Google reCAPTCHA on account forms to help prevent automated abuse. Google processes browser, device and interaction information for this security check. The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

When Google sign-in is available and you choose it, Google provides an identity credential containing your Google account identifier, name, email and email-verification information. We use that information to create or authenticate your PadPickr account and, after password confirmation, connect it to an existing account. We do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages, Google Contacts or Google Drive through sign-in.

The address-entry feature uses Google Maps/Places. Address searches and related technical information are sent to Google to provide suggestions. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, save home lists and scores, calculate comparisons, deliver invitations and account emails, respond to inquiries, prevent abuse and investigate errors. Account emails include verification, password recovery and email-change notices. Previously submitted Realtor interest inquiries may be used to respond to those inquiries.

When information is shared

When you accept a Realtor connection, that Realtor can see your account name and email, selected home traits and their importance ratings. Invited and connected buyers can see the Realtor's professional name, brokerage and biography. House-score sharing requires a separate permission setting and paid Realtor access. You can revoke score permission or disconnect through My Realtor. Archived connections do not expose your interests or scores; a Realtor may restore an archived connection if space is available, but score permission resets to off. Disconnecting prevents restoration without a new accepted invitation. We retain invitation, original referral and consent-history records to operate and audit these relationships.

Sharing features disclose the selected homes and associated comparison information to the people you invite or connect with through the site. Invitations identify the sender. Review your selections before sharing; recipients may retain information they have already seen or received.

Private home notes are shown only to the account that wrote them in PadPickr. They are not included in home sharing, comparisons, Realtor views or invitations.

Hosting, email-delivery and other infrastructure providers process information needed to provide their services. Our email delivery uses Google Workspace. Site pages also load interface resources from providers such as jsDelivr and Cloudflare's cdnjs; those browser requests expose technical information such as your IP address to those providers. Clicking an address link to Zillow sends the selected address to Zillow, whose own privacy policy applies.

Authorized personnel may access information to support users, maintain the service and investigate security issues. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service or others' rights and safety.

Cookies and device storage

Traffic counting preferences

PadPickr uses first-party aggregate traffic counters to understand page usage and referral sources. These counters save daily totals by page type, referring-site category, device type and approximate country when supplied by our hosting server. They do not save account identifiers, home addresses, raw IP addresses, full referring URLs or individual visitor histories, and do not set analytics cookies. Counts are retained for up to 180 days. The traffic endpoint also uses temporary rate-limit records to reduce abuse. We honor browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for these counters. You can disable counting on this browser below; this preference is saved locally. We do not use these counters for advertising.

PadPickr uses a session cookie to maintain sign-in and protect account actions. Local browser storage remembers dismissal of the app-install prompt, and the installed web app can cache interface resources. Clearing browser storage can sign you out or reset these preferences. Third-party services loaded by the site may use their own storage under their policies.

Storage, security and your choices

Account and home information is stored on our hosting infrastructure; communications can also remain in email systems, operational logs and backups. Expiration of a sign-in or verification link does not necessarily delete its stored record. We use safeguards including HTTPS, password hashing and account-access checks, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

You can edit account details and manage saved homes through the site. To request access, correction or deletion of account information, email info@padpickr.com. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting. Deletion requests require review of related sharing records, retained communications, backups and any legal or security retention requirements; deleting a home is not the same as deleting an account.

You can remove PadPickr's Google connection in your Google Account settings. Doing so does not itself delete your PadPickr account or its saved information; contact us separately for account deletion.

Children's privacy and COPPA

PadPickr is a general-audience home-comparison service and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 may not create an account, use the service or submit personal information. We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children under 13. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) protects the online personal information of children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to PadPickr, contact info@padpickr.com with the subject “Children's privacy”. Provide only the information needed to locate the account or submission, such as its email address; please do not send identity documents or additional sensitive information about your child. You may request review or deletion of that information and ask us to stop further collection or use. We may take reasonable steps to verify your relationship to the child before disclosing information or acting on a request.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will stop further collection, use and disclosure, disable the child's account if one exists, and promptly take steps to delete the information, including coordinating with service providers as applicable. PadPickr does not offer accounts for children under 13 through parental consent. A parent's permission does not override this age restriction.

Eligibility and account responsibilities

You must be at least 13 years old to use PadPickr. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use PadPickr only with a parent or legal guardian's permission and supervision. If you do not meet these requirements, do not use the service or submit personal information. See Children's Privacy (COPPA) for reporting information submitted by a child under 13.

Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and use only information you are authorized to submit or share. Do not create an account for a child under 13 or submit that child's personal information through profiles, invitations, support messages or other features. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements. Report account or children's privacy concerns to info@padpickr.com.
